1. Make sure you crystallize your personal ‘why’: why you live, why you work. Write-down, Review & amend it every day until you feel it’s there. Every morning remember your ‘why’ and just ‘breathe it in’ at least for 30″.
2. Spend 2′ planning your next day, the night before. Occasionally check that, in every planned activity -even free time-, you may find a link with your ‘why’
3. Within your day at work, remember to ‘in the here & now’ 100%, whatever you may be doing. Live every moment with the whole body, mind, senses & emotions.
4. Spend 1′ within the day to see at least one issue at work with ‘the mind of a novice’.
5. Celebrate one ‘small win’ every day! Even if you just spend 1′ on it, do it in our own, meaningful way.
6. Spend a few minutes to genuinely vest in a human relationship at work that you feel is worth it.
7. Before you go to sleep, briefly review the day that passed. What did this day contribute to your personal ‘why’ ? What can you praise yourself about ? What have you learnt from it ?
There are 3 elements which make your days count more: mindfulness, depth of involvement in activities-relationships & a sense of purpose. And our brain CAN be trained in each one of them!
