2nd Key: Observe or Create?

Many people realize that one of the key barriers to improve their life is their fact that they cannot manage their own thoughts.

As we saw, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE to push away negative thoughts for a long time. Therefore, how can the 2nd Key of the Q-Mind (check previous posts) be useful?

The answer is simple: you cannot push away negative thoughts but, once you dis-identify yourself from them, it doesn’t really matter if your mind produces this kind of thoughts! Because you will then have become an ‘observer’ of your own thoughts. As an observer you have the ability to choose which thoughts to stick with and which to let go, a choice that you did not have before.

Then – and only then- creating new, positive thoughts like envisioning your point B (see posts in March about the 1st Key of the Q-Mind), can be effective and fruitful because negative thoughts are not interrupting the process!

Exercise:

repeat the exercise of envisioning your point B (post on 15 Μarch) with a combination of the ‘mind push-ups’ (post on 7 May), i.e. you ‘live’ your Point B with your Mind, while observing and letting go every intervening negative thought and feeling, without judging it or pushing it away.
