Pain or Change?

We saw that Change only comes from the inside and is possible for everyone committed to it.

Then why do people find it difficult to change? Neuroscience has proven that this is because of the ‘pain’ that the brain experiences in the process of creating new neurons. A pain that may come out as fatigue, headaches or even a sense of weakness or frustration.

There are two ‘medicines’ that can help us overcome this pain:

the first one is the ‘pain’ of our existing situation. If this feels harder than the pain of change, it can push us forward.

The second one is the power of our vision for the future. If the picture of what we need to become is clear and strong enough, it pulls us forward despite of the pain of change.

Exercise: what is currently your most possible driver for change, if any? Is it your current ‘pain’ or your strong and clear vision? If it is your decision to select your driver, what do you need to do differently to activate it?
