Neuroscience proves this metaphor right, as the prefrontal cortex, responsible for any conscious activity takes up just 4% of the brain volume, when the rest of the brain remains bigger and stronger.
Therefore the key is to increase the strength of the networks linking the PFC with the rest of the brain, i.e acknowledge the unconscious mind by gaining awareness and gradually reprogram it through focus and intention.
